We met Diane at a party we did at Perle Night club.
Diane told us her daughter Erica was pregnant with her first child!
Diane had a specific design in mind, something elegant and simple,
​with a pink and gold color scheme. 
Our task: Work with Diane to create a baby shower with no 'typical' baby shower staples.

First up: The Entrance.
Guests were welcomed by a beautiful floral sign placed out side of the restaurant,
Cuzin's Seafood Calm Bar.
Entering the restaurant, we knew a balloon wall would be the perfect photo op.
​There were even baby shower photo props for Erica and her friends to hold!

The bar was complete with specialty drinks for the Erica's guests.
​The signs? All done by WayKool!

Next Up: The tables.
For these, we wanted a mixture of balloons and flowers to achieve Erica's goal of simple elegance.
Small flower bouquets for table decor and pink and gold balloons to add a little something extra and you have yourself a elegant, simple baby shower!
To keep with the balloon theme, we brought HUGE lettered balloons.
Randi, our creative designer, made custom pillows to match Erica's invitation.
To go one step farther, Eric from Cuzin's was nice enough to change the cushion covers to match this party's color scheme. Such a pleasure to work with!

Last but not least, Diane had the idea to have a naming tree in the front of the party.
Guests were challenged to think of what they thought the baby's name should be and placed their guesses on the tree.

The shower was a smashing success and all the women had a blast! 
Simple, elegant, chic. No problem for WayKool events!

]]><![CDATA[Backyard Baseball]]>Tue, 05 Sep 2017 17:05:00 GMThttp://www.waykoolevents.com/blog/backyard-baseballBaseball season is in full swing, so what better time to have a New York Yankee's themed Bar Mitzvah?! Ryan's mom came to us at our showcase MONTHS ago to see if we could take on her challenge.
Our task?
Turn Ryan's yard into Yankee Stadium.

When arriving at Ryan's Stadium, guests were greeted with the day's events, printed on baseball shaped fans! Also for guests were Ryan sunglasses, custom water bottles, and more!
Before the big game, Ryan had some pre-game ceremonies to take part in.
Walking into the backyard to welcome guests into the Bar Mitzvah service were cubes, complete with custom graphics .
After the candle lighting, it was time to PLAY BALL! 
Next up at the plate: The Stadium.
Using custom banners, we set up an outfield right in Ryan's yard! 
Here, Ryan and his friends played wiffle ball, held a home run derby, and so much more!
Plus, a photo op at Ryan's dugout, which we took full advantage of :)

What's a baseball game without some food?
We made sure Ryan and his teammates had stadium style food all day with custom banners all around!
And the centerpieces? Baseballs, bats, vases, all with Ryan's logo!
Here's what Ryan's mom had to say about her son's baseball bash:
"Wendy was amazing to work with!!! She created a Yankees theme exactly like we wanted and came up with decorations that were better than we could have ever imagined. She stayed the entire affair and really helped to make sure everything went smoothly! Thank you again!!!"

​When all was said and done, the party was a HOME RUN!

He wanted to incorporate his two loves: basketball and football.
Mom wanted this party to center around the main event: Jake's logo.
​That was no problem for us!

This Bar Mitzvah took place at Rho Waterfront in Trenton, NJ.
The twist?
The service was being held onsite.
​The room was set up for a beautiful Bar Mitzvah service. We added some floral arrangements for color to make the room really pop!

Walking in, we wanted to show off Jake's athleticism.
​Pictures of Jake in uniform, football and basketball centerpieces, custom sign in board, and complete with our custom made acrylic gift box for all the gifts Jake's friends and family brought for him.
Next up: The Party Room.
The inside of Rho gives off a club vibe and we wanted add to that.
We decided to set the room with hi tops and low tops so that guests had somewhere to put their specialty cocktail!
We custom designed vases and centerpieces to make this Bar Mitzvah a true night club experience with a football and basketball touch!
And Jake had a BLAST!

Instead of normal place cards, all of Andrew's friends had to find their  fidget spinner to find their seat.

Lamp shades were the centerpiece of choice for the adults, and boy were they a slam dunk.
